WinterLights Hours of Operation:
The Gardens will not be open during the day for the entire run of WinterLights.  Daytime general admission tickets end on 11/22/25.

In December, the Gardens will only open for WinterLights from 6:00PM-9:00PM.

A weather-dependent event.

Adults: $22; Youth (ages 2 to 17): $14; Child (under 2): FREE; Dog: $6.

Timed-entry tickets sold online only.

A holiday tradition not to be missed! Stroll along illuminated garden walks and discover the joy of the season with holiday lights that transform the ten-acre gardens into an enchanted wonderland. The radiant glow, holiday décor, and a crackling open-air fire, add to the festive atmosphere. Seasonal plants and holiday gifts will be available in the Gift Shop and Nursery. Check schedule for designated nights of live entertainment.

TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE UNLESS EVENT IS CANCELLED BY THE ELIZABETHAN GARDENS. If inclement weather or other conditions prevent the lights from occurring, a notice will be sent out to all anticipated guests by 2 pm.

Employers
Consider the gardens as a location for your holiday party and/or give the gift of WinterLights tickets to your employees. To reserve an evening for your employer holiday party and/or to purchase tickets for your employees, contact us at (252) 473-3234.

Parking
Guests must park in designated spaces. Overflow parking will be available at the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site parking lot. A shuttle will transport guests from/to this lot on select Friday and Saturday nights.

Sponsored by Dominion Energy, The Elizabethan Gardens is pleased to host “Virginia Dare Night” for Dare County, Currituck County, and Tyrrell County residents on Sunday, November 23, 2025. “Virginia Dare Night” will support the Roanoke Island Food Pantry. All locals are invited to attend the 15th season of WinterLights for donations of non-perishable food items on this night. This is an opportunity to attend WinterLights while aiding local families in need.

Virginia Dare Night tickets are limitedThe doors open at 6:00 PM and guests must reserve tickets online. In addition to the food or dry goods donations, residents are required to show proof of Dare County, Currituck County or Tyrrell County residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill. Pre-opening donation collection begins at 5:00 PM.

Recommended items for donation may include the following:

Paper Towels, Packaged Toilet Paper 2 or 4 pack, Cooking Oil, Mayo, Mustard, Ketchup, Canned Tuna or Chicken, Boxes of Pasta.

 

Please check your items carefully and make sure nothing has expired; we are unable to accept expired food.

There are no rain checks for these free tickets.
