Tour groups love visiting the beautiful Elizabethan Gardens on Roanoke Island!
Relax yourself and stimulate the senses as your stroll the dapple-shaded paths in The Gardens that lead you to enjoy a myriad of plants, antique statuary and Elizabethan-inspired landscaping elements. This ten-acre garden is open year-round and is the perfect starting point for a full day of sightseeing that will lay the foundation for an outdoor Elizabethan experience like none other. We are located just outside the town of Manteo near Fort Raleigh Historic Site and The Lost Colony outdoor drama.
Admission for groups of twenty or more is only $8.00 each for adults and $5.00 each for students 6-17, plus NC Sales Tax. Two escort/chaperone passes are given for each group of twenty. We can also tailor guided tours for any group with two weeks’ notice at no charge. A 20% deposit is required to reserve an Elizabethan Garden tour guide for your tour.
All group tours must sign a contract acknowledging the date, time of the tour and the tour admission rate for their group. A signed contract between the client (tour group) and The Elizabethan Gardens is the only way to guarantee your group rate and established policies for the time of your visit. Without a signed contract, rates and policies are subject to change.
On-site amenities include drink machines, a gift shop and living souvenirs – a variety of herbs, shrubs, flowering perennials and other plants that were grown especially for you from cuttings taken from the Gardens. Informative signage throughout The Gardens with instructions on using our free mobile audio tour, available to all guests with a cell phone or mobile web-enabled device.
