Pop UP Art Show
Pop UP Art Show – Free with standard admission. Art prices as low as $50. Enjoy a glass of wine (cash bar, $5), or visit the onsite food truck while you stroll the gardens and see what the art community of North Carolina has to offer. See watercolor, acrylic, oils, mixed media paintings, jewelry and pottery. Both established and new emerging artists will be presented together, giving the public a chance to see some favorites and to discover new works too. This is one show you will not want to miss!! Hello artist! I am excited to say that the 2nd Annual Pop Up Art Show at The Elizabethan Gardens has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2020.
This time, we have decided to have the show outside in the courtyard and rose garden. The show will be held between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. It is going to be beautiful with paintings on easels and hanging on the brick walls. We will also have tables set up for jewelry, pottery, and stain glass. The perennial border and courtyard will frame the event in beautiful colors. There will be a food truck onsite that day with a cash bar. In case of rain, we will move the show inside Odom Hall, same as last year.
We will be mailing 600 invitations during the first week of July. Also, posters will be hung in business establishments between Duck and Manteo. If there are any patrons that you would like to send an invitation, let me know.
There are several things you can do to help sell your artwork. We will need permission to use your images to publicize this show. If you can send images of your artwork in a PDF file, we can advertise them for sale on Facebook and The Elizabethan Gardens website. We would need all the information from the label (Name of artist, title, media, and price) See the information on this page. Also, if you can be at the show, either painting in the gardens or just being present to talk to potential buyers, your chances of selling will be better. Of course, if you can’t, we will have volunteers that can assist.
There will be volunteers to receive artwork at The Gardens on Thursday, July 30th between 2:00 and 4:00 pm, and also on Friday, July 31st between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. If you are not able to deliver your artwork at these times, please call The Gardens to schedule an appointment for delivery. Please have labels attached to each piece of artwork and have your inventory sheet filled out. If you participated in the show last year, we should already have a W-9, but if this is your first show, we will need a W-9 completed.
