Plant a holiday container and learn about our North American native (Euphorbia pulcherrima) Poinsettia. We will discuss its place in the holiday and the likes and dislikes of the species. Euphorbia is one of the largest genera of plants worldwide and is a stunner in the homes at this time of year. Join us to add a bright and cheery container to your holidays.

Stroll along enchanted garden paths and discover the joy of the season with holiday lights, sights and sounds transforming The Elizabethan Gardens into an illuminated winter wonderland. The radiant glow of the gardens, traditional holiday décor and fantastical displays are a true spectacle to behold. Festive trees grace the Gatehouse and Reception Hall and a crackling open-air fire warms the Great Lawn. Seasonal gift shop and plant sales coincide. Adults $11, Youth (ages 6-17) $9, Child (5 and under) $6.
Extended passes available. Showings run: Tuesdays to Sundays in December; Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in January from November 30 thru January 19 (Closed on Dec 24,25, 31 and Jan 1); For info or details, call 252-473-3234.

“What we enjoy most about Dinner with Santa is how comfortable the kids become with Santa,” remarked Carl Curnutte, executive director of The Elizabethan Gardens. “Younger children have a chance to interact with Santa and their family. It’s truly just magical.” Along with one-on-one time with Santa, this dinner is a package deal creating memories for a lifetime. Guest have time to visit with Santa and enjoy the lights and sights of WinterLights- a million-light spectacle that turns the winter garden into an illuminated wonderland.
Dinner seating is at 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm. (6:30pm dinner attendees can enjoy the lights after dinner. 7:30 dinner attendees should plan to see the lights before dinner.)
