The Camellia Collection

Encircling the Great Lawn are some of the finest sasanqua and japonica camellias found in the southern United States.

Other colorful plants in this area of the gardens include azaleas, lace cap and oak leaf hydrangeas.

The collection is dedicated to A. Louis Midgette, Sr., in recognition of his contributions and commitment as the first superintendent of The Elizabethan Gardens.
