April 20
Botanical Art Class with Linda Miller
April 20-22, 2010. The first day will include an introduction to plant anatomy by The Garden's educator, Shannon Brooks, as it relates to botanical painting. The students will then "discover" their wonderful specimen, leaf by leaf - petal by petal, and create a line drawing to paint from. Each student will work at their own pace while the instructor "visits" with each student individually. Linda will also show the necessary techniques from drawing to adding the final details throughout course. You will also receive constructive suggestions and encouragement along the way from the instructor and interact with other talented artists to make the studio a very creative and supportive environment.
Please contact Shannon at The Elizabethan Gardens to register. Phone: 252-473-1554 Email: sbrooks@elizabethangardens.org
